If you are a pizza fanatic then you have probably heard of Ooni. The popular pizza company introduced the world’s first portable wood-pellet fired pizza oven in 2012. Back then, Kristian Tapaninaho had grown tired of his homemade pizzas after realizing his attempts could never yield the restaurant-quality taste that he was seeking. However, all of the wood-fired pizza ovens that he came across were exorbitantly priced and noticeably bulky. He started making plans for his own product in an attempt to avoid those expensive eye-sores. Ooni was the final result.
Ooni At Downtown Walnut Creek Ace
Ooni has been a high-demand product at Downtown Walnut Creek Ace Hardware. It goes without saying that everyone has different standards when it comes to pizza, but we have yet to see a dissatisfied Ooni customer. We have all the tried and true models: Karu 16, Karu 12, Koda 16, Koda 12, and Fyra 12. Recently, we added the highly-anticipated, brand-new Ooni Volt 12 Electric Pizza Oven. The Volt is Ooni’s first electric oven. On top of that, this is the first Ooni oven to work indoors and outdoors. The Volt can reach its max temperature of 850° in just 20 minutes, and it can cook a Neapolitan style pizza in 90 seconds.
Six Models To Choose From
Six models can make it hard to choose, however, some standard information could help. For starters, the 16 and the 12 refer to pizza size. The medium size is 12”, while 16” is in the range of an extra large. The heat up time and max temperature will range slightly between models, but 15-20 minutes is the standard time and 950° is the highest temperature. The fuel will also vary, some models can take multiple types, while others are limited to one specific fuel. In addition to pizza, Oonis can also do steak, fish, desserts, and more!
